Why We Doubled Down on Inspiren

At Vintage Investment Partners, we are constantly looking for companies that combine exceptional founders, large markets, and the potential to build enduring competitive advantages. Inspiren is one of those rare companies. After investing early and watching the business execute, we made the decision to double down because our conviction in the company has only grown.

The need is only becoming more urgent. The 85+ population is the fastest-growing demographic in North America, while residents entering senior living communities are more clinically complex than ever before.

Founded by Michael Wang and now led by CEO Alexander Hejnosz, Inspiren has built a category-defining platform for senior living communities. The company combines proprietary sensing hardware, AI-powered software, and deeply integrated workflows to improve resident safety, care quality, and staff efficiency. What initially attracted us was a product that delivered measurable ROI to operators by reducing falls, injuries, hospitalizations, and emergency room visits, improving emergency response, increasing length of stay, and helping communities operate more efficiently.

But over time, we realized that the opportunity was far larger than we originally appreciated.

Inspiren is not just building another healthcare software company. It is building the data and intelligence layer for senior living. Every day, the platform captures real-world information on resident behavior, caregiver interactions, clinical events, and operational workflows. That data continually improves the system’s ability to detect, predict, and prioritize important events. As more communities adopt the platform, the dataset expands, predictions improve, and the product becomes increasingly valuable. This creates a powerful flywheel and a defensible advantage that would be extremely difficult for competitors to replicate.

What excites us most is the company’s evolution from monitoring and event detection toward AI-driven care delivery. Much of what happens inside a resident’s room happens with no one there to see it. Inspiren acts as a force multiplier for care teams, surfacing emergencies as they occur and identifying the subtle changes that can precede them. Senior living operators face growing challenges: staffing shortages, higher resident acuity, and increasing pressure to improve outcomes while controlling costs. Inspiren sits directly at the point where care happens, giving it a unique ability to identify risks, guide interventions, and ultimately help coordinate care in a more proactive way. We believe this significantly expands both the company’s impact and its addressable market.

Just as importantly, execution has matched vision. Since Alex joined as CEO, the company has demonstrated exceptional growth, expanded adoption among leading senior living operators, and continued to broaden its product offering. The business has grown from a promising solution into what we believe is one of the clear leaders in the senior living technology ecosystem.

The best venture investments are not simply great products. They become platforms that reshape industries. Inspired by Michael’s original vision and energized by Alex’s execution, we believe Inspiren has the potential to become the operating system for senior living and eventually a foundational part of how care is delivered as populations age.

That’s why we doubled down. Not because of what Inspiren has already achieved, but because we believe the company’s biggest opportunities still lie ahead.

We were proud to join this round along with NewView Capital, Insight Partners, Primary Venture Partners, Scale Venture Partners, Lightbank, Avenir, Story Ventures and Camber Creek. This brings Inspiren’s total funding to $225 million, the most capital raised and the highest valuation to date for a technology company built specifically for senior living operators, communities and residents.
